Woking Gateway

Carisbrooke owns a key building adjacent to Woking Railway Station known as Albion House and through considering the redevelopment of this site recognised the need for this to be integrated with a master plan for the immediate town centre area.

A development agreement was signed with Woking Borough Council in April 2009, with a view to prepare a master plan for the regeneration of this part of the town centre alongside a consultation programme involving the council and the community. Further impetus to the project was added in April 2010, when we signed a joint venture agreement with Willmott Dixon to act as development partner and contractor for the scheme.

The regeneration will comprise a mixed use redevelopment of circa 5 acres of the town centre, providing high quality retail, residential and other employment uses. It is hoped that a planning application will be made in 2011, with a start on site mid to late 2013.
